Product Description

From the Manufacturer

This square hamper has an external lightweight aluminum frame with heavy duty handles which makes it easy to carry around. Inside the java colored bag are tent poles that keep the hamper upright and sturdy. The exterior is made of heavy duty polyester and a laminated vinyl interior making the hamper easy to clean. The top part of the laundry bag is lined inside with mesh and adjustable string closure.

Pros:Each when filled is a full laundry machine load, so it's easy to tell when you need to do a wash.Light weight- so you can carry it downstairs easily.I was able to easily color code them by coloring in the "Laundry" label with sharpies. (that way my husband can toss his own clothes into the hampers)I paid $45.88 for four, so I could use one for whites, reds, darks, and delicates.Cons:The instructions suck. You need to put the rod into the long pockets, and then Velcro the flap on top to secure the rods.The flaps holding the rods into the pockets for support don't do the complete trick. They really should be made with a 2nd pocket flap instead. You can solve this by sewing the flap down and around the rod. Otherwise, when the load is heavy, sometimes the rod comes out a little. No big deal though, I think it's worth it because these are the best hampers I have found to suit my needs.Update: a year and a half later, I still love my hampers! I wanted hampers that made sorting easy, and could be moved around individually, and that's what I got. They are in great condition still and my cats are sometimes rough with them, but all is well!I can't for the life of me understand why someone would complain about the size, as these are ideal size for a full load, and that's what you need to focus on when you do laundry-- full separated loads. This is not meant for anyone that just throws all laundry in one hamper and struggles with the mess right in front of the washing machine. This is for the organized, and it's best bought in multiples.

I first purchased three of these laundry hampers 19 years ago. I love them. They hold an amazing amount of laundry. They are light weight, yet very sturdy, because they also are reinforced on the top with an aluminum frame. I purchased 4 new ones because two of my original ones began to show a little wear in one of the bottom corners (probably from dragging them across the floor so many times loaded with clothes). I just wanted to make sure I had more on hand when my original ones do finally fail. You won’t be disappointed with this purchase! I very highly recommend them!

This laundry basket looks cute and takes up a good space, however the supporting poles in all four corners will tear through the fabric. The poles are like tent poles and are kept in place by sliding them in a sleeve and velcro-ing a flap of fabric over the top. If you put a lot of laundry in here (which I do), the weight will bear down on the poles/fabric and will tear the fabric.

Also, the velcro sleeves (the black pieces on every side that you see in the picture) aren't sized 100% correctly and they will snag your clothes if you're not careful.

Otherwise it does what it's supposed to do and I like that it has a mesh cover.

Nothing’s changed, the product works fine. For people who have said this product breaks easily, they need sturdier hampers that’s all. I have had this hamper filled to the brim on some weeks and it’s held up, I don’t throw it around or anything? It just sits in its corner for most of the week and makes a trip down stairs once a week or once every two weeks. Never have the rods broken or bent on me, the quality of the hamper remains the same. I’d add a star if I could. The hamper holds enough for a medium to large load of laundry, not small as I originally stated.

When I got the hamper, I thought -hey, great, it's a little smaller than I expected but it fits the space and is really cute. It is also very light. That's when the good stuff ends. After a couple of weeks, the rods just poked right through the flaps made to hold the whole thing together. It's not like it was terribly abused, it just had some extra laundry piled on top, the small weight just made it pop right through. Now I find myself with a collapsed laundry bag with a metal ring on top needing to buy a new basket. Just AWFUL!

After piling all of our clothes into one laundry basket for years, then having to sort into lights, darks, and delicates we finally decided to sort our laundry BEFORE putting it in the hamper. We bought a single hamper for our athletic clothes that all have to be dried without fabric softeners, so we can just throw an entire load in and not have to pick out individual items to line dry so the wicking material doesn't get ruined with softeners. This hamper has saved us a ton of time and keeps our athletic gear wicking. I know some people complained that the hamper is unstable and the rods keep falling down and collapsing. When we first got the hamper, I agreed until we realized there are little slide pockets (like those found in tents for the tent poles) that the rods slide into to keep it stable. The pockets are easy to miss when first looking, but once put in correctly the hamper is pretty solid. We've had this hamper for several months without the hamper collapsing on itself like others complained. Our cats love to jump in the hampers and often knock them over but hampers maintain their form. To help us visually sort our laundry into the correct bin, I colored in the lettering with sharpie as one other reviewer did to help make each bin stand out.

These laundry hampers were exactly what I was looking for, and would have been perfect...EXCEPT... The top flap that holds in the support poles was only half attached on one of the 4 hampers I bought. Thankfully with amazon's easy return for Prime items I returned that one and got a replacement. Unfortunately the replacement had the same problem!!! I may try to stitch it back on myself and make do cause I am sick of having to deal with returns. The hampers would be perfect if they were a little higher quality. They hold exactly 1 load worth of clothes, are easy to carry to and from the laundry room, and the colors are true to the picture. If you are handy with a needle and thread and want to put some extra effort into the hampers then these are for you. I, however, am more than slightly irritated by the whole situation.
