First off, I really took my time deciding between the Pro and the regular model. I went with the Pro for 3 reasons; battery life and charging time, plus I thought the adjustable head would be convenient - and it truly is.
Battery life: I am a slow shaver. I like to be thorough and don't want to miss any place. Nothing stands out more than a man who has shaved but missed a spot after not shaving for several days so strands/tufts of hair are poking out just drawing your eye directly to it. I have several models of body hair trimmer/shaver devices, several of them are Philips Norelco. I cannot use an electric razor for a "blade-close" shave. I've tried so many brands over 2 decades, I couldn't list how many were returned. To get blade-close with an electric, one must press really hard which, for me, gives my face/neck skin a rash like you wouldn't believe. So, I've used blades for 3+ decades. Because of back issues and tendonitis in my forearm, it's simply too painful for me to shave with a blade anymore - so I quit using a blade a few years ago. I can't use an electric, so I simply have gone with the stubble look for the past 2 years. I have a Philips Norelco body hair system that, used with no guard, gives me a 2-3 day stubble look. I also use it to cut my hair (almost buzzed) and I trim my chest/torso, and arm hair with it. All without a guard. Of course it's obvious that I either just trimmed or it looks like I shaved my body 4-5 days ago but it's short enough for me. I'm not doing it so much because I want to shave (I would love to use a razor but it makes my chest/torso skin VERY ANGRY and I'll regret a razor for 2 weeks - so, the electric trimmers, it is (I trim my body hair because I don't like the texture but, more importantly, I don't like having gray chest hair so it's got to go. I don't do my legs - that takes FAR too long and my leg hair doesn't bother me. The point of all this is, the battery in that system will not last long enough when I do face/head/arms/chest/torso all in one go (which isn't often but when I do, I want to get it done!) Hence why I wanted the longer lasting battery and, JUST in case it did die, this system totally recharges within an hour or so. Obviously, I don't use this device to cut my hair, so that leaves my face, chest/torso, and arms (upper and lower and arm pits) and even with the amount of time I take for all these in one shot, at the least, I still have 70% battery remaining. This goes forever!, it also recharges within 10-15 minutes.
As far as the adjustable guard, I honestly wan't totally sure I would use it - but it came with the Pro so there it is - and I'm glad it did.
First, lets talk about how this shaves. On my very first time with this device, I shaved my face. WOW, impressive! The blade was brand new and I hadn't really read any instructions (typical man). I used JUST the Oneblade without the guard, flat on my face. Stupidly, I forgot that this device is NOT designed to give a close shave, it's supposed to leave you with at least a 1/2 day's growth. Well - you CAN get closer if you push hard enough! Even on the neck! The rash hadn't set in yet, the burn hadn't started yet, so I went onto my chest/stomach, doing the same thing. I was just super impressed with how close a shave this gave. I called it a day - and then it started. My face/neck blotched out and then, about 2 days later, the ingrown hairs started coming in on my chest/stomach. DAMN! How stupid could I be? It was totally my fault. I gave my face a week to heal (and I generally only shave 1-2 times a week anyway), gave my torso 2 weeks, which it needed! In the meantime, I did do my arms as the next test, NOT pushing so hard this time - and it was fantastic! It's not blade close but it almost looks shaved and it stays that way for a few days.
I did my face again a week later or so, this time with the guard on the lowest setting - .04. Again, this time it was awesome. I got a one-day-stubble look, then I cleaned it up lightly using just the blade on my cheeks and lower neck. I've used it several times now and love it. One of the minor issues - with the guard on, one can't get really close to the nostrils and it's a bit hard to get the sideburns just right. Taking the guard off solved those issues, just must be careful. Another plus with the guard is eyebrow trimming. I started with the guard on maximum and slowly lowered it until I got the length I wanted. I've made the mistake of practically removing eyebrows altogether before! Using just the blade, it also works well for ear hair going into the ear canal and around the outside and lobes.
This device DOES take a bit of practice to use it correctly - you can't just pick it up and get everything right on the first shot. Oh, once my torso had cleared up, I have used the guard, again on the .04 setting to trim my chest/stomach and it's great. Closer than my older system, not so close as to give ingrown hairs. I have done my arms again and I use just the blade and don't push hard, I get what I want, look-wise.
Aside from the minor issue of the guard not allowing close contact to nose/sideburn precision, the only downfall I can see to this device would be the cost of the "blade". As stated, I've had this around 5 weeks, done my face around 5 times, arms twice (top and bottom), and my chest/stomach around 3 times and I can feel the blade is starting to dull. At the same time, it's closer than my old body hair trimmers, doesn't break me out, doesn't give me ingrown hairs - so I've got to say, it's a keeper. It may be expensive, but it's the closest, most comfortable body hair trimmer AND face shaver I've ever used!
I had to give up on blades when Gillette cornered the market from Schick and it became impossible to get a quality twin blade. FIVE blades (all of which suck and are designed to wear out quickly)? REALLY? Forget about the ridiculous cost of replacement blades, these things tore my face to shreds.
I’ve had at least a dozen midrange and top of the line electric shavers from Braun, Remington and Norelco over the years. The Norelco triple head line was by far the best for me, but getting a close shave took multiple passes and quite a bit of time. Regardless of the the flexibility of the head, shaving the jawline was difficult. If I skipped shaving for a day or two, as I often do, it felt more like I was plucking my face than shaving it and took what seemed like forever. On occasion, I’d still get redness. I even took to pre-shaving with clippers to remove the longer stubble before finishing with the shaver. I hated all of it.
This gadget caught my eye because it claimed to perform “close enough, but not too close”. It delivers on that promise and more. It definitely gives a close enough shave, in my case even closer than the triple heads after all is said and done. It does so in about a third the time and with no more than two or three passes. It causes no irritation or redness. It goes through and cuts longer hairs effortlessly, with no pulling sensation at all. The edges of the blade are effective in edging beard and mustache. The adjustable comb is great for light trimming of sideburns, eyebrows and even my beard. The fine adjustments and calibrations on the comb make trimming accurate and easily repeatable.
The battery lasts about 25-30 shaves per charge, the blades 40 to 50. Charging is quick and convenient with the stand. The battery level indicator is accurate and, in my opinion, essential. I store and travel with the shaver with the comb attached to protect the blades.
In summary:
PROS
Close shave
Zero irritation
Shaves longer hairs easily and painlessly
Excellent for edging
Very good trimmer
Excellent adjustable comb
Long battery life
Very good blade life
Convenient charging stand
Cost effective replacement blades
Price competitive with midrange shavers
CONS
Can’t think of a single one.
CONCLUSION:
Buy it, you’ll love it

However, the shaver's battery life is not impressive, and it may need to be recharged frequently, which can be inconvenient for some users. Additionally, the shaver may struggle with longer hair, and multiple passes may be required to achieve a clean shave.
Overall, the Philips Norelco Oneblade QP652070 Pro Hybrid is a decent electric shaver that is versatile and effective for everyday use. While the battery life and effectiveness on longer hair may not be the best, its overall performance makes it a solid 4-star product

I use it under the shower and outside the shower, it works as expected, just make sure to go against the grain otherwise you may have unwanted results.
I use it only for my face.
I really find it awesome the battery life. It’s a little bit overpriced for 100$ but not by much.
Downsides:
I’m not able to register it for warranty using the given instructions.
I don’t know which blade model that comes with it.
It was a bit of a hassle to open it up.
When I saw the OneBlade PRO (model QP6510 - not the model I'm reviewing) I was intrigued and thought it could potentially replace both my trimmer and shaver, one less thing to travel with, but then I noticed that the trimmer comb settings weren't fine enough on the low-end (it went from 0.5 to 1 to 1.5 etc...) so I kept looking.
Someone on a forum mentioned that Philips in the US released an upgraded Oneblade Pro model (this one here - QP6520) that has what I was looking for but it's only available in the US. When it showed up on Amazon.ca I immediately ordered it.
For those wondering what the differences are between the Canadian (QP6510) and the US model (QP6520), the US model comes with the following (the QP6510 does not):
1. Wider range on the comb settings (and finer on the low end): 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 vs 0.5, 1, 1.5 etc..
2. Digital display with battery percentage status
3. Travel lock
4. Included travel pouch (just a cloth bag with a drawstring)
5. Charging stand
6. And of course, it's more expensive
The Oneblade Pro has replaced my Super Stubble and foil shaver. It's great to only have to carry one device. The trimming and shaving performances are pretty good. It's comfortable to hold and the charge lasts a long time (thanks to its Li-Ion battery).
There are a few CONS; It's a little on the loud side compared to the Super Stubble. The trimmer comb feels flimsy, so I'm not sure how long it would last or if I can get a replacement if it breaks. I also don't know how long these blades are really good for but having to replace them periodically does add to the cost and they're not cheap. Another concern of mine has to do with warranty; As Philips Canada does not officially sell this model, would they even provide support and warranty to Canadians with this model? I really don't know.
Overall I'm very happy with this product but I've only had it briefly. I hope it continues to perform the way it does now but only time will tell. I personally would not recommend buying this at its regular price, definitely wait till it's on sale.
